Kia No 3 Concept

The Korean Auto Maker is hoping to grow in popularity throughout North America. Vehicles like Sorento and Rio are already good sellers for Kia in the States, thanks to their fuel efficient engines and cost effective price tags. It’s a magic number for Kia! The No 3 concept makes its debut at Geneva

Keeping up its reputation for showing concepts that lead to reality, Kia is playing the numbers game at the Salon de l’Automobile in Geneva next week with the debut of the all-new No 3 concept.

Carving a new niche in the small-car market the No 3 delivers flexibility and fun creating a beautiful car that is also great to drive – and even better will be great to be seen in!

The concept features a unique extended windscreen and panoramic glass roof with a diagonal supporting bar and an automatic sun visor.

Designed by Kia’s European design team, led by Peter Schreyer, the No 3 also features the new ‘face of Kia’ with the front grille, head lamps and brand logo in a new constellation arrangement.

The 4045 mm long concept is finished in matt Titanium Grey with contrasting gloss-white accents and will be unveiled at 12.15pm on Tuesday 3 March at the Kia stand in hall 4/5.

Soulster features include LED headlights, dual chrome exhaust pipes with polished aluminium tips, side vents, mirror turn signals and headlights/fog lights/tail lights incorporating blue shades. Standard 19 inch alloy wheels will also come with the new sporty Kia, keeping the fun in this mighty little truck. Four different engines will be available in Soulster – 1.6-liter 5-speed with 120 horse power, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder with 140 horse power (most likely for the States), a 1.6 with 124 horse power and a 1.6-liter turbo diesel. A yellow paint job is optional for those who do not want to look like a life guard from Baywatch.

Not to be outdone by their revealed vehicle projects, Kia immediately started teasing their MPV Concept, once again releasing a picture of the side and rear corner panel.

Kia hopes to reinvent the somewhat boring Rondo wagon look, giving it a more sporty, youthful design. Full reveal of the MPV Cocnept will be at upcoming 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
