Kia Hamsters Take Home Ad Award
Remember Kia’s cute little hamster ad for their Soul compact? Well, it’s so adorable and catchy it won an award. And not just any accolade – The Nielson Best Ad Award. According to Nielson, the people who put boxes in homes to record inaccurate TV show ratings (I mean, why else would Pushing Daisies be canceled?) Kia’s A new way to roll commercial with the hamsters driving a Kia Soul was the most memorable automotive spot.
“Our data show that truly effective advertising starts with a great creative idea,” said Lois Miller, President of Nielsen Automotive. “When you combine that idea with a memorable and unique hook that grabs the viewer’s attention, you are going to get the results that we saw from Kia this year.”
